Description

The City of Sacramento Public Safety Center is home to both the Sacramento Police Department and the Sacramento Fire Department headquarters. In 2002, Romo Studios unveiled two panels with life-size reliefs that pay tribute to those who protect and serve the city.

The panels pay tribute to the police officers and firefighters who keep Sacramento safe. In one panel, police officers are depicted protecting a young child. The life-sized reliefs of the officers have the police emblem in a circle above. The second panel depicts firefighters, two holding onto a firehose, and the third holding tight to a rescued infant with the fire department emblem above. The colored concrete panels stand 15 feet tall and feature a total of eight life-sized reliefs of the men and women who serve the city and protect its residents.
